ERP solutions company sees growth in SEA

MAKATI CITY, 13 October 2015—As part of its campaign to expand its reach into growing economies, the fastest growing cloud enterprise resource (ERP) planning extends its hands to regional partners to localize their platforms.

“Asian businesses are growing and expanding rapidly beyond their shores. To support their growth, customers are demanding user-friendly world-class business and management solutions based on industry best practices and global standards of compliance,” said Acumatica president for international operations Laurent Dedenis.

Acumatica is a solutions provider for ERP. The company stopped by Manila on its Southeast Asian tour to showcase their platform to local enterprises.

The company’s latest offering is the addition of cloud services to its portfolio.

“We offer our clients the solutions that allow their users to work anywhere at any time and on any device,” Dedenis added.

The North American company is expecting to draw a lot of business from the Philippines, as well as the other sites it chose to hold its Solutions Tour: Vietnam, Cambodia, and Indonesia.

“We have local partners in these locations that allow us to deliver vertical solutions. And those markets are large markets right? I see a lot of opportunities in these markets,” Dedenis said.

Jon Roskill, Acumatica chief executive officer, added that part of the reason they are targeting these countries are the large population base.

According to Roskill, 83% of Filipino SME employees spend over 20% of their working time outside the office, relying on mobile devices and online cloud based tools for communication and productivity. He also said that the Philippines ranks top 10 in Asia with mobile Internet usage, with 44 million active Internet users.

This means almost everyone has access to resources anytime and anywhere.

Asked if the state of the Internet services in the country can be a hindrance to cloud solutions, Roskill said “I’ve been in the country for a few days now. So far I’ve had no problem with my mobile data.”
